[Network] Getting network working during installation (netinstall)
I try to install Debian 3.1r2 with a net install CD (so I must have a network connection). Everything is going fine except the network configuration. With other distro's I also had some troubles using my network card, but the only thing I had to do was add "options de4x5 args='eth0:fdx autosense=10Mb'" in /etc/modules.conf. Else it was detected as an 100Mbit card.
After Debian detected my hardware, it had choosen the wrong driver (tulip). So using CTRL+ALT+F2 and typing "modprobe -r tulip" I unloaded the tulip driver. Then by using "modprobe de4x5 args='eth0:fdx autosense=10Mb" my network SHOULD work... But when typing "ifconfig" I can't see any card (and my green led on the router still isn't burning, so it doesn't has any connection)
If I type ifconfig using the tulip driver it says it has 3 error's. The tulip driver doesn't support my LAN card DC21143.
Now my question, how can I get my network driver to work?
EDIT:
Some extra info:
Yes, the network card is working
Yes, the network cable is working
